Happiness Breeds Money

Its true. If your happy, it will return bring you more money. But be careful, though, more money doesn't necessarily mean you will be happier either.

The evidence, for example, demonstrates that people who have jobs distinguished by autonomy, meaning and variety – and who show superior performance, creativity, and productivity – are significantly happier than those who don’t. Supervisors are happier than those lower on the totem pole, and leaders who receive high ratings from their customers are happier than those with poor ratings. And, of course, the income that a job provides is also associated with happiness, though we now all know that money has more of an impact when we have less of it.
Why does our work make us happy? Because it provides us a sense of identity, structure to our days, and important and meaningful life goals to pursue. Perhaps even more important, it furnishes us with close colleagues, friends and even marriage partners.
The story doesn’t end there, however. Studies reveal that the causal direction between happiness and work runs both ways. Not only do creativity and productivity at the office make people happy, but happier people have been found to be more creative and productive. They are better “organizational citizens” (going above and beyond their job duties), better negotiators, and are less likely to take sick days, to quit, or to suffer burnout.

So Students, work hard and acquire the best job you can get! But remember, dont choose a career just because it may be lucrative, because if you truly arent into it then you may be really miserable. For example, dont choose to be a neurosurgeon just because they are paid, when you hate the sight of open brains! Or you dont want a job that has unrewarding hours but high pay! But honest with yourself and choose a profession in your range of talents, interests, and passion. Then your passion will then one day produce big checks!!

Case Study 2: Hannah, age 55, was in a major car accident 20 years ago during a cross country trip. Ever since, she has been unable to drive on major highways. Although she does drive, she goes to great length to travel only on back roads and scenic routes. She is able to go where she wants but it often takes her much longer to get there than it should.

In this case, Hannah has a memory that prevents her future actions out of fear. One solution may be to have a driver, but this can costly or she may have problems having one on hand consistently. I suggest therapy to tackle the problem head on and may be re-enrolling in driver's school where there is a trained instructor on how to drive on the highway safely and regain confidence.

All me!

I took the Jung Typology Test and I scored a ETNJ!! An ETNJ is someone who was born to be a leader; who is extrovertive, likes to communicate ideas, and works well with others. I strongly believe I fit all of these wonderful qualities because I see them in myself everyday. Maybe not in my psychology class, but usually outside this class I have no problem whatsoever taking center stage on any event or discussion. Im the type that likes to demonstrate a certain prospect in fron of the class, explain it, and make everyone else life easier for them. I exhibit this trait especially in my Pre-Calculus class.

My next personality test shows that I place a higher value on extrinsic goals than intrinsic goals. That maybe possible, because I was always taught to to the best I can in anything and everything. Success is the name of the game right? I mean why stress on going to college if your not going to at least attempt to be successful? If not, you might as well liv with your mom for 20 years after you graduate and wait for someone to take care of you. Forget that, life is too short!

Sexy Back! (no homo)

Photobucket
JT was was born in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Lynn Harless and Randall Timberlake. ] He has English ancestry, although he has also claimed some American Indian ancestry, probably through unconfirmed descent from Henry Timberlake. His paternal grandfather, Charles L. Timberlake, husband of Bobbye Joice, was a Baptist minister, and Timberlake was raised Baptist; he considers himself more "spiritual than religious", though still a Christian.

In 1993, Timberlake joined the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club. His castmates included future girlfriend and pop superstar Britney Spears, future tourmate Christina Aguilera, and future bandmate JC Chasez. The show ended in 1994, but late in 1995 Timberlake recruited Chasez to be in an all-male singing group organized by boy band manager Lou Pearlman; that eventually became 'N Sync.

JT's most recent album was FutureSex/LoveSounds, with the song "Sexy Back" being the lead single. He was awarded 2 Grammy awards in February 2008

Honestly, I feel that this is another case of a celebrity with problems. Its kind of hard to imagine a ladies' man like JT to jave the OCD. I bet many females will probably be sad when they read this... I bet having an OCD is hard, cause I mean its like things you have to do are essential to survival. Like you have to do things to stay mentally stable.
