My Psych Class!

This year in psychology has been interesting. We have learned some more "grown up" things lol. Although the class was somewhat challenging, and required endeavor, the overall knowledge learned in this class is essential.

What I liked about this class was that it had a laid back feel to it. The teacher wasn't some old lady who purposely wanted to give students a hard time. Nor was she a teacher who assigned too much homework. She spoke in a tone that we as teens can identify and feel comfortable, not all dominating and what not. In other words, our teacher wasnt the teacher from hell lol. The work load wasnt that bad either. Our assignments were given for us to do over a period of time, instead of it being due the next day. This way we could exercise personal responsibility and time management by not procastinating. I hardly felt the pressure to have something done that was time consuming done overnight.

My favorite project was the natural observation assignment. It was easy because I picked an attractive girl to do it on, so I didnt mind looking at her all the time stalking her and studying her every move. Hey, I wasnt being a perve, just a psychologist looking for universal principles lol. Plus, these blogs we do is quite easy as well. I mean each blog isnt all that time consuming and draining. Just make sure you complete them on time so they wont start piling up on you and you're good.

Since I liked the overall direction of the class, I believe Mrs. Halfen should continue the way she run her class. No major flaws in the class. And no im not kissing up but im telling the truth. The class wasnt bad but you just had to be sort of proactive in your learning. That means outside reading and research, and your own notetaking from the text. As for economics, it should be done in the same way. They are both subjects of reading, text, and content. Afterall, ap eco is a college level class. But breaking down the text into chewy biths the brain can consume like the way you do in psychology would be great.

Oohh I agree with a lot of stuff you wrote about. I'm glad we had a cool teacher for psych, she's pretty awesome and funny. I like doing the blogs, they're fun and not that difficult.

I also agree with you. I liked how the class was fun, yet educational. I don't think Mrs. Halfen should change anything.

HAHAHA I love how you chose an attractive girl, that was a good idea. Truthfully though I hated that assignment. I didn't know what to do really. I agree that she was not a teacher from hell thank goodness.
